Public Safety Power Shut Off in Yolo County October 9
October 08, 2019
To help reduce the risk of wildfire and keep communities safe, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has planned a Public Safety Power Shut Off (PSPS), starting as early as October 9 in parts of western Yolo County.
Due to a potentially widespread, strong and dry wind event starting Wednesday morning, there is a potential for a Public Safety Power Shutoff to affect 5,700 Yolo County customers during the period of October 9 - 10 in the areas of Esparto, Winters, Madison, Guinda, Rumsey, Brooks, and Capay.
Esparto Community Services District is mobilizing our operations and backup generators to facilitate water and wastewater operations with the possibility of being without power for several days.
We are asking that all residents limit any unnecessary use of water; don’t water your lawns and minimize your use of washing machines and dishwashers, etc.
We will update our website as information becomes available, so please check back with us.
